They are calling it a deliberate deformation, but in other parts of the world where the skulls are found, it is said that the elongated shape is NOT a deformation at all.
Deforming the human skull would not double the size of the cranial vault. Strapping a board to a newborn’s skull to deform it would not result in twice the normal brain size.
My opinion is that the cultures that engaged in deforming their babies’ skulls were trying to emulate the beings that had skulls like the ones seen in the video.
