Where is President Obama on this? We are sick and tired of these meetings! We are angry and mad as hell. The U.S. Government is sitting on their hands !

Interior Secretary Ken Salazar appeared May 18 , 2010, for several Senate hearings. Many lawmakers examined the leadership of the Minerals Management Service. The Interior Department is charged with enforcing environmental and safety rules for energy exploration.

Ken Salazar was working on the Cape Wind commercial wind turbine permit while the Gulf oil platform was on fire! Soon after the platform sank into the Gulf Ken traveled to Massachusetts to announce that he had approved the Cape Wind permit!

On April 28.2010 Ken Salazar announced his decision at a joint Massachusetts State House news conference with Gov. Deval Patrick voting to go forward with the Nantucket, Massachusetts wind turbine project. The same day of this decision more than 5000 barrels of oil had poured into the Gulf of Mexico. (one barrel equals 42 gallons ) .

Several days later the MMS was broken into several sections!

Do we trust our government? In retrospect should congress review the Cape Wind permit given out during the failures of MMS ?

Hey Bill, can you add in any more exclamation marks…?

So, on the one hand you want the government to do something. On the other hand, you don’t want them to act aggressively on things that could keep us from having to drill for oil in the first place. And then you’re unhappy that the government throws out the MMS bums put in by Bush who sat on their hands instead of calling this a doomed rig in the first place.

Might want to figure out who’s really at fault here. We’ve had decades of oil companies paying off government officials to do pretty much whatever they please. We’ve had decades of people working for the oil companies being paid to say “get government off of my back” – until some greedy cuss like BP decides to break our backs.

I agree that the government should have a hand in the solution, but the solution is better government, not government doing things they’re not good at.

ACTION IS NEEDED ON THE PART OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE NOW

The current BP containment cap has failed. Oil will continue gushing until August or beyond until the Relief Wells are drilled.

Trust me as an expert in the oil wells field, the following simple novel technique can instantly plug the well and make unnecessary the drilling of the Relief wells:

Plugging BP Well by a Long String of Cement-Filled Casing Pipes

BP has to lower into the wellbore through the Riser Pipe stub and the Blowout Preventer a string of 18″ Casing Pipes: a dozen pipes connected together, 500 ft long, after being filled with cement.

The wild well will instantly be plugged and there will be no need for the Relief Wells. Any annulus space between the Casing Pipe String and the well walls can be filled by pumping cement.

In the past two days I emailed this novel technique to BP and to President Obama + 40 US Senators & Congressmen + Louisiana, Alabama and Florida Governors + 90 US Newspapers & TV Channels + ……more than 300 e-mails, as witnessed by yahoo & Windowslive – no response!

    NOW:

I want everyone who reads this comment to print it and visit any US official who cares about America: Governors, Senators, MMS & Coast Guard officials, etc. and hand them a copy of this comment and ask him to PHONE BP EXECUTIVES AT ONCE to inform them of this novel technique.

But, please make sure that the credit for this technique is attributed to HODIEB KHALIFA OF EGYPT – NOT TO BP!!

As for myself, I’m Egyptian Engineer, 64, living in Cairo, Egypt, with long experience in oil fields and mechanical installations in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Italy and Germany.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND BLESS AMERICA DESPITE BP.

We have got to ask how the response to the Gulf of Mexico spill compares to the 2003 Bouchard B 120 oil spill in Buzzards Bay,Massaacusetts?

Two things come to mind. First the U.S.Court of appeals never allowed the state of Massachusetts to enforce the Massachusetts Oil Spill Prevention Act of 2004. The Coast Guard appealed the rules because of an intercoastal turf war leaving the state with no new laws to protect the bay. Second the residential property claims of thousands of residents have been tied up in the Massachusetts court system for the past eight years. How will residential property owners around the gulf have to wait?

On April 27, 2003, eight years ago the Bouchard Barge B-120 hit an obstacle in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts creating a 12-foot rupture in its hull and discharging an estimated 100,000 gallons of No. 6 oil.

I love this guy. Is the only one I’m listening on CNN when I see him on the screen. His passion is amazing. The red tape is massive.
With Hurricane Katrina there was being said that they wanted to get rid of the people so they could install casinos and a bunch other stuff.
This situation is giving me the same filling. They are not doing anything and they are not letting anybody do anything, as if they wanted to see everything is destroy, so people will be force to abandon fishing and all the other stuff they do, and I’m sure developers will come in the next day to do real state stuff.
